Culture Shock Preview - The Secret Store

I'm honoured once again to be blogging for Miss Maylee Oh of The Secret Store. This time around, it's her releases for Culture Shock which starts on May 1st!

I'm so happy that Maylee decided to release new versions of her Eglantine Jacket that she teased us with as her prize for The Seasons Hunt - Spring. She also releases these Popsicle dresses in both sleeved and sleeveless versions! As usual the choice of textures is wonderful...both sophisticated and cute, at the same time. All sculpted parts have resizers too, so you can get the perfect fit, even down to jacket shoulderpads.

One more thing to mention today - there's a new fashion feed on the grid - Style Academy, and I'm honoured to have been invited! You can check out the new feed here!!

Culture Shock Preview - Ladies who Lunch

More Culture Shock previews today and something a little different for me.

This fabulous period lace gown created by Faint Paulse of Ladies who Lunch. It includes 4 sash and button colors: Milk, Black, Rose, and Tea. The gown will be available in all four of those colors, each with all of the sash and button combos.

To accompany the dress, a series of matching headresses will be released at the event, one of which I am wearing today. :-)

Culture Shock Preview

If you've not heard about Culture Shock yet, here's the 101:

The first annual “Culture Shock” event in May 2011 (May 1st – May 22nd) aims to be a large and important event for the Secondlife fashion culture. Celebrating trends and trendsetters within our business, and incorperating music and art, all with reflections of our own personal first life cultures depicted in our creations. It is brought to you by CHIC Management (www.chic-management.com) and sponsored by Modavia Productions who will be providing exclusive coverage of some of the new designs available at the event on their blog – http://www.modaviafashionmarketing.com/wordpress – in the lead up to, and duration of, the event.

174 Store spaces will be available for the showcasing of products, including a mandatory minimum of 3 new and exclusive items each – contributing 50 – 100% of their profit to charity.

The chosen charity is Médecins Sans Frontières (commonly referred to as "Doctors Without Borders" is an independent humanitarian medical aid organisation.

Omgosh so much good stuff at the moment! Culture Shock is just a few days away now, and this cute little dress (which is actually a top) from Paper Doll, is part of it! I have more previews to report before the event opens, and I'll be sure to update you with the slurl for the event once it's officially opened on 1st May.

Also of note, is this cute Roman Bag - new at House of Fox! Another of the new Maitreya styles that were released a couple of days ago and these cuuuuute hair feathers from Pididdle.

Last but by no means least...those clever chickas from Suicide Smock - Miss Tart Quandry and Miss ScarletLily Saphir have opened their own pose store 'synt' - it's WELL worth checking out, particularly if you're a fan of many of the poses the girls use on their blog! There's a freebie on the desk inside the store, and it looks like there's going to be a ton more good stuff to come from synt in the near future!

Livin' life to mess around and play

As it happens, two of the big releases of the weekend go awesomely well together! This FAB hairstyle is one of the five new releases from LeLutka this weekend, and the cute gold paisely romper suit is new from Hucci!

I toyed with the idea of donning a leotard and roller skates with this hair, but these bodysuits are so cute and full of springy goodness that I just couldn't resist!
